“We For Civil Equality” is a Community Based Non-Profit Non-Governmental Organization working on issues since 2003.

“We For Civil Equality” is the ONLY one organization in Armenia working on LGBTQ and cross-cutting issues.

Vision

“We For Civil Equality” NGO envision a world in witch all individuals can realize their aspirations and rights in all areas of life with dignity and without facing any form of discrimination and violence.

Mission

Social transformation to fight any forms of society phobias towards LGBTQ groups in Armenia by lobby and advocacy to create, disseminate and redefine knowledge on human rights, provide safe and supportive environment for self integration into society and informational-educational campaign to prevent the spread of STI/HIV/AIDS among high risk and vulnerable groups.

Aim

“We For Civil Equality” NGO aim is enhancing individuals’ lives and society’s well-being through nurturing a society that affirms diversity, hold up and respects the right of each individual.

Goals:

• promote and encourage universal respect for and observance of Human Rights and fundamental freedoms for all, without social segregations or distinction as to age, race, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity and expression,
• nullify the recognition or exercise, on an unequal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life,
• ensure the adequate development and protection of certain high risk groups or individuals belonging to them for the purpose of guaranteeing them the full and equal enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms
